Frequently asked before getting started
Does connecting an AI tool record everything automatically?
No. After connecting MashNote, enable the tool in each new conversation or task and apply the automatic recording prompt. An activity summary is recorded when a meaningful unit of work is completed.
Which AI tools can I connect?
The help center provides setup instructions for ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Antigravity, and other remote MCP-compatible clients.
How do personal and workspace activity visibility differ?
Activities recorded through the personal default path follow source-level visibility settings. Activities recorded to a workspace follow that workspace's rules, and their original visibility remains unchanged when they also appear in My Mash.
Can I search note contents?
Current note search works by title. Full-text body search is planned, and timing will be announced in the help center.
What does an electronic signature verify?
MashNote records the note version and content hash at signing time. You can later verify whether the content is identical to the signed version or has changed. Reviewer approval and rejection workflow is planned.
